As usual, I was starving (I get hungry easily), and we were deciding a place for our dinner and that is when we landed ourselves at Lucky Plaza for Ayam Penyet Ria. The restaurant serves authentic Indonesian food which are famous for smashed fried chicken. Of course there are also other kinds of dishes, but mostly are fried dishes.
I thought that the soup was a disaster. It tasted like a sweet ayam soup with cheap ingredients being used for the soup. However, I does not know if that was the authentic taste of the soup. Makes me ponder.

The Gado-gado in the restaurant is slightly different from the authentic style where it consists more of boiled veggies with peanut dressing. Instead, they uses a sort of fried the beancurd skin to in a tower shape with a little veggies as decoration. I would say that the peanut sauce is just right for the dish and it tasted refreshing compared to the rest of the fried dishes.
Below are some of the main dishes that we have ordered as well. For those that are health conscious, you might not like the deep fried items, but these food certainly fit into my category. Though deep fried, it is not as oily as it seems and with the combination of the red hot sambal chili, you would not even get bored of the taste.

If you loved fried an spicy food, this will be the place you got to visit. It might not be the same as KFC, but definitely has a unique asian taste. Just beware that the chili are not laughing matter, it means REAL business. We paid about $50+ for 4 pax which I considered it relatively economic for a dinner at Orchard Road.
