Late Dinner at “Saturday” on a Monday Night

Located in the corner of a row of shophouses along Upper Paya Lebar Road.

I was meeting near my house bus stop while a glance and we notice the brightly lit signboard that wrote “Saturday”. In fact, two weeks ago we came by which they were still under preparation.

Mushroom Soup with Garlic Bread.

The soup tasted well but it was served warm rather than hot. Perhaps they could improved on that. They have applied garlic spread over the bread before toasting it. Loved it.

Seafood Arrabbiata. Cooked with some shrimps, clams, squid and mussels in tomato sauce.

On the first mouth of the dish, it reminds us of a similar taste which we had eaten before in the past. There was one period of time in the past that MacDonald served spaghetti on their menu and this arrabbiata has almost resemblance taste. There was some heat in the dish and seafood are fresh as well.

Aglio Olio. With red and green capsicum and sautéed mushrooms.

My sister and her boyfriend joined us for the dinner and ordered a Aglio Olio. The fragrance smell lingers in the air but there wasn’t any room left in my stomach after I finished my Seafood Arrabiata. Plating is nice though. Will try out during my next visit.

Overall, the food is really good and slightly cheaper compared to Ice Edge Cafe.
