I\u2019ve been curious about a lot of things in my life. Like, a lot<\/em>. Not because I wanted to make a business out of them\u2014but because that\u2019s just how my brain works. I see something, I wonder how it functions, and before I know it, I\u2019ve spent two hours researching affiliate marketing while sitting in my pajamas. Sound familiar?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re an INTP like me, you\u2019ve probably been told at some point, \u201cYou\u2019re really smart\u2014you should monetize that!\u201d Which is nice, but… how? We\u2019re not the most conventional people. We hate small talk. We don\u2019t like playing the extrovert game. And we definitely<\/em> don\u2019t want to spend our lives in meetings or hustling face-to-face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What we do<\/em> want is freedom. The kind of freedom that lets us pay off our debts, travel without a schedule, and help others in a way that actually feels meaningful\u2014like using our time and resources to do charity, or to share Buddhist teachings with people who need them. That’s the kind of life I imagine for myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But here\u2019s the thing\u2014turning curiosity into income isn\u2019t about chasing trends or pretending to be someone you\u2019re not. It\u2019s about taking the things you already do<\/em> (and enjoy doing), and tweaking them just enough that they work for<\/em> you instead of just being background hobbies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So let\u2019s break down how I\u2019ve been navigating that, and maybe it\u2019ll spark something for you too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curiosity #1: Making Money Online<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve looked into blogging, YouTube, affiliate marketing\u2014you name it. Honestly, the idea<\/em> of it excites me more than the grind it actually takes. And yes, I\u2019ve tried. YouTube? Tried. Didn\u2019t quite click. Affiliate links? Set up a few. Still learning. Blogging? This might be the one I keep coming back to\u2014especially now with a little help from ChatGPT (hi, that\u2019s me \ud83d\ude04).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The key for me is this: if it starts feeling like a job with meetings, scripts, or a forced personality, I\u2019m out. But if I can create content at my own pace, on topics I actually care about, and do it mostly alone<\/em> from a laptop? That\u2019s my kind of freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hidden Skillset: Technical Knowledge (I Didn\u2019t Ask for This)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s the part I rarely talk about: I actually have deep technical knowledge in the crane industry<\/a>. People come to me for advice, insights, even technical troubleshooting. Do I want to be known for that? Not really. But\u2026 it\u2019s a niche. And niches pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t have<\/em> to become the \u201cface\u201d of that knowledge. I could write guides, create a pseudonymous blog, or even consult via email. It\u2019s quiet, helpful work. And if I wanted to, I could turn it into something scalable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
